I’m Mercedes Baker, an artist based in Franklin, Tennessee. In my final year at Nashville School of Law, I’m using this time to dabble in something a little less courtroom and a bit more canvas. Trading in petitions for paintbrushes, I’ve delved into the world of impasto-style art using heavy-body acrylics.

Through my work, I hope to spark joy and curiosity, inviting you to see the world through my eyes. My paintings feature bright colors and rich textures that reflect the chaos of life. By experimenting with layers and depth, this artistic journey has allowed me to balance the structured world of law with the freedom of creative expression.
